Programs of The Pennsylvania Center For Adapted Sports are designed for people with physical disabilities. We offer a range of programs, for all levels of abilities. For information or reservations, call 215.765.5118. NOTE: ALL PROGRAMS BY RESERVATION ONLY. Here are our programs and times.

Fall/Winter Programs

Indoor Rowing. Erging is a great way to stay in shape when it's too cold for our on water rowing program. This is a popular, fun and challenging program run by U.S. Adaptive National Team Coach, Karen Lewis. If you attend regularly, you will be in shape!. Location: St. Joseph's University Boathouse, Kelly Drive, Philadelphia, PA. Times: Evenings

Aquatics. One of our newer programs. Swimming is one of the best exercises you can do. Instruction is provided for non-swimmers through intermediate levels. If you are a swimmer, you can do laps. Pool has a lift. Location: St. Joseph's University Fieldhouse. 54th and City Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. Three six week sessions. One hour each session. Time evenings Fee: $5.00/session.

Sled Hockey. Our team, The Centerpedes, or "The Bugs" as they are affectionately known is a very popular program. While a competitive program, with a traveling team, the Bugs also makes plenty of room for those new to the sport, or just wanting to give it a try. Coached and managed by former National Team member Mike Doyle, the Bugs has no less than three home grown Paralympic Team members on its A squad. Call for ice locations and information. Ages 18+. There are also Jr. programs in our area.

Indoor Climbing. Scale the wall! This popular program has everything you need to challenge yourself in ways that many find appealing. Climbing teaches great focus, and body awareness among other skills. You will learn to climb, taking it at your own pace, and learn to belay for others. All abilities. Monthly through the winter. Call for more information and location. Cost: $10.00/climbing session

Skiing. Adapted skiing is where we got our start and it remains one of our most demanded activities. You can't beat being out in the fresh air during the winter and gliding down a hill. We have state of the art equipment and one of the best and most experienced adapted teaching staff around. Call early as this program fills to capacity quickly. Location: Camelback Ski Area, Tannersville PA. Call 215.765.5118 to book (all lessons by appointment). Cost: $42.00. Includes lift, lesson and all equipment.
